A rate is entered by one person and approved by another; once decided it can never be changed or deleted. Prices, quotations and old gold valuations always read the approved rate in force.

Questions about gold & silver rates

Can each branch have its own rate?

Yes. A branch rate overrides the business-wide rate for that branch; when both exist for the same time, the branch rate wins.

What if no rate is approved for a purity?

Pricing for that purity is refused with a clear message instead of guessing. Nothing is ever billed at a missing or estimated rate.
